About the project
The Roig Arena, is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose indoor arena located in Valencia, Spain. Built to serve as a major hub for international entertainment, sports, and culture, it stands as one of the largest and most technologically advanced indoor venues in Europe.
Designed by ERRE Arquitectura alongside HOK, the venue accommodates up to 18,600 spectators for musical concerts and large entertainment productions, while offering a capacity of roughly 15,600 for sporting events. It serves as the primary home court for Valencia Basket Club for both its men’s and women’s teams. Beyond the main hall, the complex features a secondary auxiliary hall designed for training and community events, along with dedicated corporate suites, a museum, an official club store, and extensive multi-level public car parking.
Situated in the Quatre Carreres district near the iconic City of Arts and Sciences, the venue incorporates significant surrounding public space. The master plan integrates a public park, a new public school, and extensive green areas, seamless connecting the facility with the city’s urban transport network. Through its flexible layout and advanced acoustics, the Roig Arena positions Valencia on the global circuit for world-class live touring, major basketball tournaments, and large-scale convention events.
